Pad Cam video

Scorpion launch on a K670 "Green Gorilla" on June 12, 2004. The igniter was expelled on the first attempt and the motor did not light. The igniter was held in place at the top of the motor core with a small styrene rod on the second attempt. A small sliver of blue thunder propellant was also added. It worked great the second time.

Scorpion launch on a K670 "Green Gorilla" on May 30, 2004. This video shows a couple of chuffs before the motor finally lights. I have since found that adding a small sliver of blue thunder propellant to the igniter and holding it all firmly in place with a small wood dowel will prevent this by ensuring that the top of the motor core is lit properly.
